Compliance
Avatec supplies IEC 62040-certified UPS products and builds project compliance through disciplined design, controlled manufacture, testing and documented evidence.
IEC 62040 UPS compliance
Certified products supported by project evidence
IEC 62040 provides the international framework for uninterruptible power systems. Avatec’s certified UPS products apply the relevant requirements for electrical safety, energy hazards, thermal and mechanical protection, electromagnetic compatibility and declared operating performance.

Design to verification
Compliance is managed through the complete project
Requirements review
Customer specifications, destination-country requirements, installation environment, utility characteristics, battery duty, communications, industry rules and required certificates are reviewed before design release. Applicable clauses and deliverables are recorded so that responsibilities remain visible.
Design control
Approved components, protection arrangements, creepage and clearance, earthing, cable sizing, thermal management, enclosure protection and service access are checked against the selected standard and project duty. Interfaces with bypass supplies, generators, batteries, switchgear and monitoring systems are reviewed as part of the complete installation.

Inspection and FAT
Evidence that the delivered system matches the approved design
Manufacturing inspection verifies component identity, workmanship, wiring, labels, torque, polarity, earthing and mechanical completion. FAT then confirms the agreed operational sequence and performance using controlled procedures and calibrated instruments.
- Input, output, bypass and battery operating modes.
- Alarms, indications, interlocks and protective shutdowns.
- Transfer, recovery and fail-safe behaviour where applicable.
- Electrical values, load response and functional interfaces.
- Communication, remote signals and customer-specific logic.

Documentation and change control
A traceable compliance record
The handover package can include approved drawings, bill of materials, component certificates, calibration records, inspection and FAT reports, software or parameter records, manuals and maintenance recommendations. Any approved deviation or later modification is reviewed for its effect on safety, performance and certification so the technical record remains aligned with the installed equipment.
